An Eventful couple of months

Actually most of the action has happened in the last 3 weeks. And let me tell you...its been a doozy.

Well...we moved....FAST. Roger interviewed for a job in San Marcos, TX the Monday after Thanksgiving. The offer was made on Wednesday and he started the following Wednesday. Whirlwind packing ensued. We moved into our new house on Saturday, December 10th. Whew! I'll have pictures, eventually, of the new house. Come and visit! We have a nice big place and lots of things to do in the area.

Well, the drama didn't stop with the move. We arrived on Saturday and we discovered that the van was having issues. What was a small power-steering fluid leak had progressed into much, much more. Roger tried to work on it in the evening, but without daylight, it was hard to see what he was doing. So, we decided that I would just take him to work for the week and he could work on it on Saturday. I needed the car so that I could take Jonas and Sam to school until their buses could be set up. That's what we did. Wednesday morning we got up and loaded everyone into the suburban. We left about 6:40. It was dark and wet and still raining. More trouble followed. We were T-boned by a large box truck that was merging onto the interstate. He slung us out of the way and teetered back and forth on two wheels onto the interstate and tipped over. Thankfully the truck was not hit. We stopped in the ditch and did not go up onto the interstate, Praise the Lord. Miraculously, we are all okay. No one was seriously injured. Just some cuts from flying glass.

Roger went over to the tow yard to get the rest of our stuff and snapped some pictures.

It really could have been so much different. We were divinely protected and we are so thankful. Dealing with insurance companies is never fun, but knowing that all of my children are safe in their beds each night is worth the insurance headache. All my kiddos are getting extra hugs and kisses these days.
