So, this little peanut had her first birthday this past weekend.
She was very excited. She had no idea WHY she was excited. But, she was excited nonetheless.
Jonas was in rare form. He was tired and grouchy. A real party-pooper. WONK!
We had brunch! Princess pancakes with sprinkles, of course. Oh...And bacon. Don't forget the BACON!
Naturally, we added some more sprinkles and pink glaze. Clearly, there was not enough sugar already represented. But it was cute!
Our rowdy party-guests. See the blur that is Jonas? He spent the whole day like that. Oy.
Now...onto the cupcake smashfest. That's what you are all waiting for! Here is Ruby's "pretty in pink" cupcacke in the "before" picture.
And now we have hooked up the webcam so Nana can see, we sang to her and put the pile of more sugar in front of her.
Now she's got the idea!

She's happy to eat it, but she's actually quite tired. Its past her naptime, you see.
She is now eating with her eyes closed.
What?!
Oh, hee hee. I'm cute. 
Food in the hair is Ruby's signal that she's done. Nice.
So we scrubbed her down and put her to bed. It was a lovely 1st birthday.
